Renee is putting her books in her locker when Meredith sneaks up beside her, trying to scare her

Deji is sleeping in the guest room when Olika comes in, he stares for a while then he shoves him hard.
"My guy! Get up with immediate effect! We have a party to host!"
"I'm not going, knock yourself out" Deji said in a sleepy tone
"Look man, you cant keep up like this, you have a family now believe or not, and you need to talk to Simi sort yourself out, starting with you coming to the party"
Deji yawns loudly, stands from the bed and stretches himself.
"Dude you are such a pain in the ass "
He enters the bathroom and shuts the door.
"That's why you love me" Olika said


The club is booming with people, music and wild drinks, the girls are entering the club chatting, Ego is just distant.
"Wow its either Yinka has a lot of friends or this club is way popular than I thought anyway I am going to party like a neuron tonight" Tamuno said excited
"Freak!" Mandy said
The girls laugh, Yinka comes to where they are
"Simi I can't thank you enough for this, this is awesome how did you pass of the invitation so fast" Yinka said
"Well I know a few bloggers, plus I attached free gate pass and drinks that is what everyone in Lagos loves, free anything"
Simi looks over to see Deji chatting and laughing with some girls
"Anyway I saved you girls a sit at the V.I.P lounge come on"
They follow him to the lounge, as they sit the bartender comes in, takes their orders and leaves.
"Okay! I am going to say this right now before I loose it, I saw Ejiro"
"Ejiro? Which Ejiro" Tamuno said
"Ejiro, your ex Simi! That you found out has H.I.V on your wedding day!"
"So? He his bound to surface at anytime" Simi said
"Thats not the point, he owns a church now, he is a pastor!"

Simi stands up and leaves.


Yinka is chatting with some people when he notices two girls and a guy standing front of him, the guy is forcing the other girl to come with him while the other is preventing him from doing so, .Yinka decides to handle the situation
"What is going on here?" Yinka said
"None of your buisness man! Now  back off" the guy said rudely
"Well it is my buisness because it is my party, I suggest you leave calmly and quietly before the bouncers throw you out, their are a lot of cute girls here, you don't want to fall your swag" Yinka said
He stares at the taller girl for a minute and points his finger at her

He storms out of the place

The girls leave.


Simi and Deji are back from the club
"I am really sorry hun, the way I over reacted" he said
"I am the one who should say that, I should have told you, please forgive me"
He places his hand on her stomach
"We are having a baby! God I am so excited"
He carries her up, twirls her around and brings her down
"Wow you are so full of energy, I need I am not sure if it is the water or nature?"
"Well go pee and come back if you want to know what I can do with all my energy"Deji said with a smirk on his face
"Oh you so full of dirt!"
Simi enters the toilet, she pulls her underwear and sees blood spots on it.
"Oh my God! This is not happening! Why me!"

Let me tell you a tiny little secret about tomorrow, it is quite unpredictable, we might just utter words, procastinate but each tomorrow comes with a different agenda. How can we talk care of tomorrow? We can by taking care of today. So drop that dead weight of fear, cast out the shred of doubt and bask in the blessings of today. What do you think?

"Yes you do! I figured how could someone who majors so well in relationships is not even in one? Please I dont want you to end up like Yewande, she has divorced like three times and rumor has it that she is about to get a fourth!" Ruki said in a hushed tone.

"Never better" she said "hmm that's a first, I'm glad you are not letting the craziness of this place get to you, I heard about Simi's Aunt, give her my best" he said "thanks I will, why didn't you show up?" "A grimore, it has spells on how to defeat Martus, the spell he casted is ancient and deadly, he learnt black magic, if we don't stop him, the glory of the Imperial will diminish and after the cycle day what will be left is chars of evil" Azura said "how do you know all this, you seem to be more knowledgeable of the kingdom than we do" "I'm a messenger, its my destiny and will power, to help the Imperial bring good tiding, stop evil, the Imperial is for white magic, that's why all the embed are white, if Martus proceeds we will be the opposite, all embed will be black and darkness will prevail" she arrives a spot, whispers something and a book appears from underneath, suddenly the whole place turns into a beautiful garden "don't be deceived by that, we must focus on what's important, or we will be buried deep into the sand, stay focused we are still in the path of darkness do not touch anything!" She transforms into an owl, Martus hops on her back holding the book tightly, immediately the try to fly away the place goes back to normal opens up and tries to swallow them, Azura flaps with her last strength soars higher and flies towards the Imperial. .................................................................... Philandra is tied up at the center of the chamber, the place is wild with drinks and celebration, the people who are under his spell her laughing and jeering at her "Long live the royal Valiant queen" Martus said the whole place erupts with laughter, the roof breaks open immediately, Gasturix comes down from Azura's back, as she flies higher away from the kingdom "wow, the king makes a grand entry, I've been waiting for you" Martus said "what I you doing, I told you to run" Philandra said breathless "I'm here, ubindo!" The straps on her hands cut loose "how did you? Get him now!" Martus said furious "furnancio!" A ball of fire covers him and Philandra "We don't have much time, read the spell" he gives her the book "but this will wipe out the city? Isn't there any other way?" He tries fighting off Martus men as Philandra begins the spell "Evori evolvi, dispersi incanti deni zeti para ecanti usha imperi" suddenly her body turns into a goblet of fire and engulfs her and Gasturix as she keeps chanting, Martus runs towards her trying to stop the spell before the whole city vanishes, leaving dust behind, Azura watches from the sky with tears in her eyes, then she flies away into the horizon, searching for the missing pieces. Philandra said "I decided for the cycle celebration, we will do something different since the queen is with child, let me tell you a story, the Imperial was first ruled by the Devious, but the Valiant queen overthrew the Devious king and took charge, I have waited a long time to claim what is mine, and now the queen carries a child, my plan becomes futile which means I can't carry out my plans, exicer!" The whole doors in the palace locks immediately, Philandra tries to use her power in defense but it fails her "don't even think about it, I've learnt this spell for a long time, you can't even transform, you are stuck, and don't think the councils will help you, I spelled them too" "I knew you were this cunning Martus, you've always had eyes for the kingdom, I rather die than see you win" Philandra said "I was hoping on that" "you forgot something Martus, spells don't work on Messengers" Azura turns into a giant white owl, she grabs Philandra and Gasturix and flies for the roof, Martus turns immediately into a long giant white snake reaches for Philandra and drags her down, Gasturix watched as she slipped from his hands, she muttered her last with her last strength "Run, find a solution" Azura breaks out of the roof and flies away with Gasturix. Martus forms back to his normal self as he tossed Philandra on the ground "Bind the witches hands, and find that owl!" He said to his aides "You will never win! I promise you Martus!"

I couldn't even boast of a thousand naira in my account, now I have a house, cars, money in the bank, cha ching!" Yinka said excited "Hey! Renee walks into the Pride City Metropolis Hospital and goes straight to the nurse at the reception "Hi, I'm Renee Rhodes, I'm here to see the man that was brought in yesterday, he had a car accident" "Oh Mr Parker, are you family?" "No, but I made the call, I was at the scene I just want to know how he is doing" she said "Okay, well usually only family is allowed and you can't see him because he is resting, maybe you can come back later" "I'm not sure but thanks anyway" "Any problem here?" A young female doctor comes to where they are "No, the young lady said she wants to see Mr Parker, she was the one that called the hospital when the accident happened" the nurse said "Oh dear, you can't see him, but I must really commend what you did, it is only a miracle that helped him, with the way the accident happened no one could survive such a crash, surprisingly he is stable and responding quickly to treatment, maybe you could come back tomorrow?" "Thanks doctor, I will be on my way now" she leaves the hospital. .................................................................... Jerry peed on my bed and told my parents it was me, it was so frustrating" Meredith said to Renee as they opened their lockers to bring out their books "By the way, what's wrong with you Ren?" "I don't know, I keep remembering the crash with horrible nightmares" "Look, calm down, maybe after school we could go over to the hospital and check on him, I hope that will ease the superstitions" Suddenly John Lowe a nerd walks up to them "Hi Renee, Meredith, well math club is having their annual calculus and algorithm quiz to elect president, I'm running obviously, I was hoping you could come cheer me up Meredith" he said shyly "Oh! We all live in a world were we have little or no idea of how life completely evolves around us, what life is, how we fit in, even when we realize, we are lost in the shadowing masquerade, trapped in charade. Life doesn't just evolve, we evolve with life everything forms a pattern, we just have to discover where it leads "Oh my God! You are so wasted" Meredith said to Renee as they left the pizza shack "Yeah! Probably too wasted by the 5foot thick sized tuna pizza you made me shove down my throat" she said as they laughed in the streets. Meredith and Renee are childhood best friends, very inseparable, Meredith lives with her Latin-American parents and her seven year old brother who always have a way of making life miserable for her in a fun way while Renee lives with her mother. They are both regarded as under dog cheerleaders at the Queensdale High School in a city called Pride. As they try to find their way a car suddenly glides off the street, summer salts severally then hits an electric pole "Oh my God!"
