She points the gun at Wale "I'm sorry, I will change, I won't cheat on my wife again, I promise" he said, shaking "Aww, poor guy, well that's too bad, have you heard of the saying, no second chance?" She shoots him on the leg, everyone screams "Shut up" they all do "Let's just say, I'm going to do that slowly, it hurts so bad when you find out that the one you love so deeply, that you could lay down your life for, is busy with someone else, well I've been there before, thanks to you all" she said "Can i at least tie his leg, so he doesn't loose a lot of blood" Beenie said "Oh, the editor in Chief wants to be a brothers keeper, well leadership by example, go on" Beenie goes over to were Wale is, takes off his shirt and ties the leg, Wale screams in pain "Sorry man, I pray we make it out alive" "No talking, that's enough get back" Beenie goes back to where he was "Well, without further ado, court is now in section, who is next, trust me, I have enough bullet to go round, wow how God feels when he has the life of everyone in his palms" the phone in Beenie's office starts ringing "Damn, i forgot to cut that, can someone get it, please" Beenie goes into his office gets the phone and gives it to her "Hello" "This is Inspector Anthony, the entire police squad has surrounded your office, release the hostages and we won't have to hurt you" he said "Ugh! That's too bad, I don't fall for threats easily, I came here for a revenge and i just started, besides, what can the so called Nigeria police squad do?" "Well this is the new kind, you have no idea what we are capable of" he said "Try me" she hangs up. .................................................................... Kate is discharged from the hospital, she is leaving with Simi "It is really great to feel the fresh air, compared to the smell of drugs and injections" Kate said "Yeah, I'm glad you are okay and back on your feet, so how are you going, i could drop you" Simi said " No, thanks, I've already called my driver, just wanted to see you, it might be the last time" Kate said, Deji walks up to them "I'm just so glad, the both of you are getting along" he said "Yeah, all thanks to Simi, my stay in the hospital was never boring" her car stops in front of them, the driver comes out and takes her bag "Will be going now, Deji, please do take care of her" Kate gets into the car "I will, trust me" they leave the hospital "So, what is next, for us?" Deji said "Us? Who is us?" Simi said "Come on, you are too smart for this, me and you, let me make it up, give you an exotic lunch" "Really, just like that? You've got a long journey ahead of you" Simi said "So you are going to punish me now?" "It doesn't come so easily, you've got to try again, catch ya". .................................................................... Over at the police station, a police man rushes into the Inspector's office. "Sir, a silent alarm went off in the Classic Magazine Office building, a passerby also reported a gun shot heard" he said "We had better start moving then". .................................................................... Wale and Beenie are in Beenie's office discussing about Peter's state "Guy don't you think you were a little too harsh by letting him go?" Wale said "No, if I had allowed him to stay, he would have continued, just made an example out of him so others will learn" Beenie said "Okay, if you say so" "Just take care of everything, I need to run along" Beenie said. They both come out of the office to find everyone outside "And what is happening here? "We were told you summoned us for a meeting" one said "Who did?" They all nod their heads and demonstrate in a negative manner "by the way, where is Ego?" They don't respond " Look I'm not in the mood for jokes, wait for April, before you all can start with the pranks" he moves towards the elevator but it doesn't work "And why is this not working?" "That's because no one is leaving" Dami comes out with a gun, everyone panics and bends, crawling about the place to save theirself "No, not that way, everyone, move to the wall" she points at a corner, they all run to the place "Sit down and make yourselves comfortable" they all obey, Beenie is still standing "Why are you even holding that gun, you can't even fire it" he said, she shoots the roof, they all shout in panic "Still in doubt, Mr Benjamin? Now join them, or the next enters your brain" Dami said, he joins the rest, she sits in front of them, still aiming the gun in their direction "Well, Well, Well, look at the whole editorial board of the so called Classic Magazine, right before my eyes, now toss your phones towards me" they all obey "Good, we are starting off well, but if i find your phone, you are dead, now separate yourselves don't pack up" they all do "Now, who wants to hear a story, i bet you all do, first of all, introduction, I'm Sophie Abubakar and I'm here on a vendetta". .................................................................... Most times, we should learn to see a disappointment as a blessing in disguise, Peter was fired, he left before the chaos. Dami or Sophie really has an agenda, but what could be her story?

SEASON ONE: EPISODE SEVEN: EANIE MEANIE MANI NO!: CHAPTER SIX; YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS WRONG

Peter makes his way into his editors office, with confused thoughts on why he will summon him, he finds Wale and Ego there "Sit down Peter" Beenie said, he does "It has come to our notice that you have been playing a lot of illegal pranks, which has been affecting the magazine, so instead of calling the police, we have decided to relieve you off your duties, you no longer work for Classic Magazine" Beenie said "What? Beenie please, this is a mix up, I can explain, I will never do such" "Where you not fired from the Punch for misconduct? Ego said "I was, but it is in the past, I'm not the same person, i need this job" Peter said getting down on his knees "No need for that, money has been missing from the safe, you are one of the few that knows the safe exists" Wale said "I didn't do any of this please, I'm innocent" Peter said "That's what they always say, you are to leave effective immediately, now, get out of my office" Beenie said. .................................................................... Ego enters her office, she sits down exhausted, Dami enters with a cup of coffee "Are you okay ma?" she said handing the cup over to her "Yes, I am finally, i haven't slept well since. Ego wakes up in a dark room, the smell of chemicals is everywhere, she realizes she is in the janitors room where he keeps the detergents and bleach "What the hell, how did I get in here?" She said, her phone rings, is her office number "Hello, Dami help I'm trapped somewhere" "Well, Miss Geoffrey, I can't believe I fooled you all to think it was Peter, that was easy, I'm really good" she said "Dami, what has come over you" Ego said "Revenge, March 18 2011, i broke up with my boyfriend or let's say he broke up with me after taking your silly advice on love, what do you know about love? I know I'm not the only victim you have jeopardized their love life, so I've decided to speak for the masses and get rid of the problem, which is this magazine" she said "Dami, you are insane, please let me out, we can work out something" "There is nothing to work out, right after this call, I'm cutting off the service in that room, then after i will burn this place down, so I'm the last person you are going to speak to, too bad, just say your last prayers, heaven or hell is waiting for you, FYI, my name is not Dami" she hangs up "No, No, No!" The service bar goes empty "sweet holy Jesus, i can't die like this, help! Help!" She screams hoping she will be heard but no one does. .................................................................... Simi is in her studio putting some thing in other, her students who came for their make up class are over at one corner, their discussion catches her attention "Girl, gist dey o" one said "Abeg wetin, tell me na" the other said "You know Deji, that manages the hottest nightclub on the island, I heard he told his girlfriend that he is no more interested and she attempted suicide" "Oh my God, seriously? babe things dey happen, but that babe mess up, plenty fish dey inside ocean, why i go kill myself for guy? God forbid, if na jazz e go clear by force" "No be only you, babes, never, na mugu things, guys wicked, no one is worth dying for" Simi's phone rings which brings her back to reality "Hello, will be right there". .................................................................... Simi comes into the hospital "Are you miss Adeniyi" a nurse say to her "Yes" "I need you to come with me, the patient Kate wants to see you" Simi comes along with her, they enter the ward, Kate is lying down on the bed, she is weak "You may leave us alone" she said to the nurse who leaves "I'm glad you are awake now, how are you?" Simi said to her keeping her distance "I'm fine now, you don't need to keep your distance, i don't bite" Simi goes closer and sits down beside her "I know you are shocked that i want to see you, but when i heard you saved my life, i felt like a fool, you know when i cut myself with the knife, my life flashed right before my eyes, then i realized i made the worse mistake, i wished i could stop the bleeding before i passed out, Deji doesn't need me, i hurt him, that's why i want you to take care of him, he deserves the best" she said with tears in her eyes "What about you?" Simi said "well, I've decided to get my masters, make myself useful, I will always be grateful and indebted to you Simi, now i see what Deji sees in you, you have a pure heart, I wish i had one" she said "thank you for this, you are blessed more than you can imagine, I will always keep in touch" Simi said. ................................................................... Mandy is on the phone with a client "Yes, he threatened that if i leave, he won't leave anything for I and the kids" she said "Look madam, you have nothing to worry about, do you have any lucrative job? "No, i don't, he insisted i be a house wife, after 15years of marriage he didn't only cheat, he slept with my maid on our matrimonial bed when i travel led to visit my parents, i want a divorce, and I want you to help me" she said "Don't worry madam, you called the right person, when I'm through with your husband, he won't know what hit him" Mandy said "Thank you very much, when my friend recommended you, i knew she won't make a wrong choice" she hangs up, someone opens her office door and walks in "What, how did you even pass without being seen by my secretary?" Mandy said to Dave who is standing in front of her "Let's just say i have my way with words dear" he said "How did you even know where i work? God knows i will fire that girl? "Blame it on me, you know you captivate me, I want to take you out, spoil you, get you something nice" he said "Aww, to bad I'm already spoilt and have everything nice" Mandy said "Well you need more, give me some credit, I've been pursuing you all over the island, it is not like you are the only girl in Lagos" "Well that is your cue to leave me alone!" Simi is in her house trying to put some things in order when her phone rings "Hello....yeah, tell the customer that i can't make it today, I will see her tomorrow, alright, thanks" she hangs up "Oh God, what is happening, everything is just never right, when i feel I'm close, i get tossed back to nothing, had a good thing going with Ejiro, he messed up, now when i thought i could give Deji a chance, this messed it up, maybe I'm not meant for this love" her phone rings interupting her thoughts "Hello, Deji" "Simi please I need you to come to the hospital, will you do that for me" he said "Sure, I'm on my way" .................................................................... She arrived the hospital to find Deji sitting in the lobby "Hi" she said as she sits near him "I'm glad you came" he said "How is she" "Still in coma, I'm so grateful, i don't know what would have happened if you didn't see her on time" "We don't pray for that, we just hope she comes out of coma very soon" she said "I know you have lots of questions, on why she still had my key, sometimes i forget crucial things, maybe if i changed the locks..." "Deji, you don't need to keep explaining things all the time, just put yourself together and be there when she wakes up" Simi said "That is the hard part, I don't think I can be there, this is just too overwhelming, I need you, not her, I just wish this could get simpler" a nurse walks up to them "Mr Deji Kojo, Miss Kate is awake and she wants to see you, please come with me" she said "Can i come with someone?" He said "No, for now, we will only bring in those the patient wants to see, to avoid any harm, she is still under close watch" "Please , Simi i want to see you when I come out" "No, please, it is obvious I'm not wanted here, please sort whatever you have with Kate, you belong with her, I'm done" Simi turns, and walks out of the hospital without looking back, trying her best to fight back the tears. .................................................................... Ego goes into her editors office "Beenie , can i talk to you for a second?" "Sure" he said, she sits "So I've done a lot of work and cross referencing, I've narrowed it down to a possible suspect, his name is Peter Okon, had a bad record in school for being notorious, and he was fired from the Punch Newspaper for anger management issues" Ego showed him the file "Hmm, Peter, he is Wale's assistant, that should explain the missing money" he said " A question still remains unanswered, what could he possibly have against Classic Magazine, has he ever brought an idea and we didn't accept?" Ego said "None that i know of, we need to have a close talk with Mr Peter, before firing him" Beenie said "You want to fire him?" "Yes, so he won't have the opportunity to keep playing his tricks" .................................................................... Tamuno sees a nurse coming out of the I.C.U, she decides to have a chat "Hey nurse, how far" "Ah, Dr Sani, good day" she said "Same to you, how is the patients condition, the one that tried to commit suicide" "Oh, that young girl, she is fine for now, she was lucky that lady brought her on time, but she is still in coma" the nurse said "Alright thanks for the info" she walks away "Hmm, coma, she better have a brain fart, before she gets herself so her brain can reset, who dies for love this days? Simi is in the hospital, as she watched the nurses pull Kate into the intensive care unit, she decides to sit, Tamuno is walking past and finds her there "Hey Simi, what are you doing in the hospital apart from seeing me" Tamuno said "Sorry, I had major crisis now, Kate tried to kill herself" Simi said "Who is Kate? "Oh sorry, Deji's ex girlfriend" Simi said "Oh, that is true, why will she do such?" "I saw this note" Simi shows her the note "I rather die than see you in the arms of another, I will always love you till we meet again" she reads it out "Simi? She is ready to kill herself? For a guy? She definitely has a dysfunctional medulla, is she high on adrenaline?" "Tamuno, please not now, this is serious" a police man walks up to them "please sorry for interrupting, i was told you made the call that brought her in" he said to Simi "Yes I did" "So what is your relationship with her" "None, I came over to the house and I saw her in that state" Simi said, Deji rushed in immediately "Oh my God, what happened Simi, is it true, what you said over the phone? Deji said almost breathless "Yes, they have her in the I.C.U, she lost a lot of blood" "Sir, are you the owner of the house she was found? The officer said to Deji "Yes, but I wasn't around and she has a key, that's how she got in" "then i need you to come with me, I need some answers to why the young lady will want to commit suicide in your house" "then you will need this, i found it next to her body" Simi hands the paper to the officer "Thanks Miss for your cooperation" he leaves with Deji "Imagine, she even has a key to his house, what happened to changing locks, Simi you need to stay as far away at least 100 feet away from this people before you get hurt or get into something worse" Tamuno said "Yeah exactly" .................................................................... TIME.........a luxury we don't have, everything changes with time, we should be careful always about life and our decisions. No one knows how a decision taken today can change the course of tomorrow. Mandy is coming out of the supermarket holding a bag of groceries "You are not so hard to find,just like a gold fish" Dave walks up to her "Wait? Are you stalking me now, what is it in me that interests you?" she said with a smirk "Isn't it obvious, the looks, the money, the clique, the personality, I could go on and on, but only on a dinner table" he said "Oh, sweetie, i forgot the date, well that is because you are not on my to do list, how about you try some place else, now off you go" Mandy opens her car, as she tries to shut the door he holds it "I'm not done, barbie, but i will let you go because I'm letting my guard down, i don't take no for an answer" he said "too bad, there will be lots of it, can you spell NO? Mandy shuts her door and drives away. ......................................................................................................... Ego goes into her editors office "Beenie, you wanted to see me?" She said "Yes, please have a sit" she does "I got a couple of calls from your column, they said that, they have been getting anonymous calls and emails which sounded like a joke at first, but became worse, the caller said you tear people's relationship apart because, you are not in any, the voice is masculine" "What? That is not what i do" Ego said shocked " I know, I have every right to believe someone is trying to jeopardize this magazine, my clients call for jobs and they say i tell them I'm booked, i have never picked any call like that, Wale also complained that the money in the safe, is missing" "Why didn't you tell me?" Ego said "I thought i could handle it, well now i see, I can't ,and this place is swarming with potential writers, who could probably have anything against us? I have everyone's file now, we will also check their past records to see if we have something to worry about" he said. ............................................................................................................. Simi knocks on the door of Deji's house, but he doesn't answer, she tries the handle, the door opens "that's strange, he doesn't leave his door open" she said, she goes into her apartment "Hello...Deji...It is me, Simi, i came to talk" but no reply, she makes her way into the bedroom hoping to find him, she opens the door, the bed is stained with red dots, then a big red spurt on the floor, blood! She looks at the lifeless body of Kate, she cut her wrists with a knife "Oh, my, God!, Kate! Kate" she feels her pulse, it is weak and unsteady, there is a note on the bed "I rather die, than see you in the arms of another, I will always love you, till we meet again, Kate" Oh no! This is not happening" she picks her phone " hello, i need an ambulance, attempted suicide,5 Adeyemo Alakija street, Victoria Island, you need to hurry please" Simi hangs up, she ties Kate's hands to stop the bleeding, and put pressure on the cut "Hang in there, you will be okay, i promise, hang on". ......................................................................................... Some times we are so hell bent that we let our life hang on a thread, it is a gift, never take it for granted, one question, will you die for love? Remember life is practical not logical. Do you think Kate will survive? Will this make Deji get closer to Kate if she does? Who is really keen on destroying Ego's magazine?
