LAME RED: SEASON TWO: EPISODE NINE: DEAL GONE BAD: CHAPTER ONE: NO NEW FRIENDS

Dr Pamela comes into the ward, Yedire is sitting uprightly on the bed, Amaka and Yinka are both sitting down.
"I hav.e good news and bad news" she said
"Start with the bad, its better" Amaka said
"Anyone is okay" Yinka said  
"Start with the good" Yedire said 
"That is enough! The good news is, you will be leaving the hospital this week'"
they all scream excitedly
 "And! The bad news is, it will be on a wheelchair"
 "That's not completly bad, I still get to leave" Yedire said
"That's the spirit, just ensure you show up for your therapy, don't miss anyone of them"
"Okay sounds like a deal"
She leaves the ward.
"I have to go some where, will be back soon" Yinka stands up to leave
"Where if I may ask?" Yedire said inquisitively.
Amaka stares at the both of them, and pretends to be busy with her phone
"I am going to the motor park"
"Motor park? Is your girlfriend in town"
 "Are you jealous?"
 "What is there to be jealous about? Have you seen you? What do people even see in you?
 "In case you haven't noticed, I am young, handsome and wealthy"
"And so full of yourself"
"See you later, I don't want to keep my girl waiting, the sun is definitely not good for her" he said slyly and leaves
"Uh! I hate him" she said
 "No, you like him, you just pretend to hate him"
 Amaka winks at her and continues with her phone.


 Yinka arrives the motor park, he parks at a corner, comes out and locks his car. He picks up his phone and dials a number
 "Where are you? Okay I'm at the gate, I'm coming towards the bus now"
He approaches the bus parked, the passengers are coming down from it, suddenly a tall, fair and handsome young man comes down and rushes towards him
"Yinkz my manchi! O boy! It is so good to see you, you just fresh die! What's up man?
 They both hug themselves
 "You are not looking bad yourself, good to see you Nnamdi, its been long, what's been going on?"
 "Guy I just had to run away from Abeokuta, there is no fun! I have missed Lagos, this service people are wicked, even after I applied severally for re-deployment, I got nothing, thank God it is finally over"
 "Thank God for you man, after Law school, I must serve in Lagos or no service at all, is that your only luggage?"
He points at the bag Nnamdi is carrying
"Yea, you know me, I don't have a full wardrobe, hope you will take me shopping"
 "You wish"
They reach where the car is parked, Yinka presses the key button and the boot opens
 "You can put your bag inside, let's hurry, I have to be some where"
He just stands fixated with his mouth agape, looking at the posh car
 "Guy tell me this is not your ride but a rental, you don turn yahoo boy? Na 7 years o! This car is out of your league bro" Nnamdi said in a hushed tone
 "I'm not a yahoo boy, you know me, I don't like to get my hands dirty, its a long story, just hop in, I will tell you everything on the way"
"My guy! Hope I am allowed to cruise in it, I have to land my own big Lag babe"
"Uh! Uh! No, this my baby, there is another one at home you can play around with"
"You've got to be kidding me!" They both laugh as the get into the car, he starts it and drives out of the motor park.

LAME RED: SEASON TWO: EPISODE EIGHT: NEW SHOES: CHAPTER FIVE: HUNTER AND HAUNTED

Dr Pamela is checking Yedire, Yinka is at a corner observing and busy with his phone.
"That will be all for now, what's with the vibe around her" Dr Pamela said
"What vibe?" they both chorus
She looked at both of them, they felt uncomfortable by her gaze 
Whatever is going on, both of you should try and fix it, what of the other girl?
"She left, will be back soon" he said
 "Okay, that will be all, just take a lot of rest, and don't stress at all, not good"
 She leaves the ward
 "I'm very sorry, for acting the way I did, it was wrong and ungrateful, and I am sorry, again"
 Its okay, I understand, I've been this way before, angry at everyone, looking for who to take it out on, but I thank God for Simi, even though I lost my mum just days after I knew who she was, I still pulled through, because I focused on who is there, rather than who is not"
"I wish Idris will pay, for everything, he abandoned me when the car crashed and ran, I just wish I didn't keep making the same mistake all over again, with the same person, I would have died"
"But you didn't, that's what you should focus on, and help yourself get better, that's all that matters for now"


 Mike is in his office when Mandy comes in
"You are right, I can't just pretend like nothing happened, as much as I want to believe it didn't, it really did, no matter what he is my father, he is human, humans make mistakes, I want to know why" she said
 "What do you want me to do?"
"I want you to find him for me, now is the time I need your skills"
"Are you sure? Mandy, when you do this, there is no going back"
 "Positive"


 Ego and Beenie are at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Beenie is with his travel papers and luggage
"Thank you, for coming to my aid, before I hit rock bottom, I've forgotten how good you are, I almost lost a friend, but I am glad I found you back" he said
 "Just promise me you will get better, Mandy recommended the rehabilitation centre, it helped her get over her addiction"
"Wait? So Mandy is the friend that recommended the place?"
"Yes, that's why I trust it enough to let you go there"
"All passengers to London, your plane is about to take off, your have 10minutes" the announcement is made
"That's my cue, I have to get going"
"Call me when you land and get registered"
 "I will"
 He hugs her tightly
"Take care of yourself, Benjamin"
"You too, Egonna"
He walks away till he is out of sight, Ego's phone starts ringing
"Hello"
"That was a touchy way to say goodbye, I was moved" a strange voice said from the other line Ego looks around, to know who is watching her
"Who is this?" She said almost scared
 "Just someone who is here to tell you that your deal with Oregun was never off, infact you bought the loan from Benjamin, now you owe us"
 "You are mistaken, we paid every dime, every penny" she said
"That's not how it works love, in fact it is more complicated than just a pay off, you have an interesting life Miss Geoffrey, we will keep in touch"
 He hangs up.
Ego stands there shocked to her spine, wondering what in the world she has gotten herself into.

Franklin D Roosevelt once said "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself, nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance". What could be the next step for them all? To be continued

"It all happened so fast, I didn't realise that Classic Magazine was loosing money after the scenario, we barely got clients, no one wanted to be bombed, people started to quit, well my attitude wasn't welcoming. I had to get help to reinforce, you weren't there and I was too proud to call on your help, so I got mixed up with an old gang, borrowed some money but the deal went bad, I was so filled with rage I pushed all my friends away, including Wale, now I don't know what to do, please, do not tell Shade, I beg you, for the sake of my children"
Beenie is talking with Ego, she is restless, pacing, round the room, he just sits and stares at the floor
"Who did you borrow money from?" she asked
"Not important"
"You know well how the deal goes, the money is never enough! You will keep paying, your business becomes theirs, I just want to know who!"
"Fine! It was Oregun"
"Oregun! You went to Oregun! The notorious kingpin! Are you out of your mind?"
"Apparently I am, are you helping me or not?"
"Set up a meeting I am coming
with you this time"




Yinka walks into the ward to find Yedire sprawled on the floor
"Oh my God" he rushes to were she is, she is awake and struggling to get up, he carries her up and lays her on the bed.
"Sorry for that, I had to get out of here" she said
"You barely made it to the door, where is Amaka?"
"She went home to change and get me some things I need, guess I have become dispensible"
"Why do you like being negative? What is your problem? Do you want to die? Will that be better?"
She just stares at him without saying a word
"Look if it is not what you want then make this whole thing easy, not just for you, but
for the people that care to stick around!" he said
"What does that mean?"
"You do not want to hear it"
"Oh I really do, if I have become a pain in the ass, I sure as hell want to know!"
"Fine! You have just been mistreating I and Amaka, we were always here when you were in a coma, what about Idris, the love of your life, the one responsible for all this, he gets a pass! You barely said a word about the accident, now he is no where to be found, and you are here, maybe you know where he is, you can call him to come take care of you, I am done"
He stands up and leaves the ward

LAME RED: SEASON TWO: EPISODE EIGHT: NEW SHOES: CHAPTER THREE: CRAVINGS

Ego and Ruki are standing before Yewande in her office, she is on the phone chatting and laughing
"How long are we going to stand here before queen bee takes note that we are humans, not office decorations, my shoes are killing me" Ego whispers to Ruki
"Lucky for me, I am so used to it, sometimes its like being a soilder in a battlefield"
Yewande hangs up
"Oh my! It is so good to be back, I never knew people missed me this much, except for the news that I am getting married to a 70 year old billionaire, but no
comment" she laughs hysterically, Ego turns to look at Ruki who gives her a funny look
"God! What is with the atmosphere? The weather here is so over the top, like I'm boiling literally" she fans herself with the book on her desk
"But your airconditioning is about 16 degrees, that's low, its really cold here" Ego said
"What will you know, you haven't crossed the border, give me an update"
"We have distributed this month's magazine, the next magazine is almost ready, the finance department have sent the list of approved ads, each newsletter for the columns are being reviewed, it remains your final approval" Ruki finshes up as fast as she could
"Okay, well I will look into what you justsaid, you can go, Ego stay
She leaved the office
"Welcome back Yewande"
"Thanks, but I didnt tell you to stay to get a warm welcome, have you heard anything about your former boss, Benjamin of Classic Magazine?"
"Not lately, why? Is it a crime to contact him?"
"No, but you should be concerned, I heard
the magazine has shut down, maybe its not true, you know this blogs and their fake gossip, that is why I don't read them"



Ego is knocking loudly on Beenie's door she keeps knocking till he opens up looking wasted
"Do you want to bring the door down? I have neighbours!"
She pushes him away and goes in, the place is in a mess, there are strains of  powdery white substance on the table, she takes some with her finger, smells it and chokes at the scent
"Oh my God! Is it this bad? You are using coke again? How could you not tell me?"
"Why do you care? Get out!"
"I am going no where till you sober up!"
"Like hell you won't"
"If you don't let me help you, I will call your ex wife, Shade, tell her you are using again, you won't have any custody of your kids, you won't see them ever again, but if you let me help you, it will be llike this never happened, now do we have a deal?"

LAME RED: SEASON TWO : EPISODE EIGHT: NEW SHOES: CHAPTER TWO; WE KEEP HOPE ALIVE

Amaka is tryng to get Yedire to eat but she keeps pushing the food away

"You really don't have to waste your time, I didn't loose my hands, I can eat!" she said

"If you like you can yell all you want, I am not giving up on you, so you had better start eating before I force it down your throat!"

Yinka enters the ward, he looks at the food on the table and sighs

" She hasn't tried eating yet?" 

"Yes! I am tired of begging someone to eat so she can stomach her medications!"

Amaka drops the food and walks out of the ward, Yinka goes over to where she is and sits down

"I just spoke with the doctor, this is only temporary, you have to relax , eat , take your medications, we are here for you" 

She doesn't say a word, she just looks the other way

"I get it, you are mad, angry, filled with rage but you can't keep pushing people that truly care for you away, all the time..."

"I want to be left alone! Is that too much to ask?" she cuts in rudely 

"It's fine, I will be out of your hair, I will be in the lobby, just in case" 

He leaves

Simi is done with her appointment with Dr Femi, she enters the lobby to find Yinka sitting there

"Yinka, what are you doing here? Are you sick?"

"No, sorry I didn't tell you I thought Dr Tamuno had already done that" 

"Surprisingly she didn't, what happened?"

"A friend of mine was involved in a car accident, she fractured her two legs making her temporarily paralysed, I have been looking after her since then" 

"Hope she is taking it well because that sounds painful, if it was a spinal cord problem, that would have been worse" she said 

"That's what I try to tell her, that it is not the end of the world, but how do you try to get close to someone who keeps pushing you away?"

"Well there is only one word for it, patience, maybe she has her reasons for holding back you just have to give her a reason to believe you are for real if you like her that much" 

"Is it that obvious?"

"Let's just say I am good with reading aura" 

They both laugh

LAME RED: SEASON TWO: EPISODE EIGHT: NEW SHOES: CHAPTER ONE; FRAIL

Yinka is in Dr Pamela's office, she is on the phone,after a while she hangs up
"I am so sorry I kept you waiting she said
"Its alright please go on"
"Like I said earlier, you don't have to panic, she is experiencing what I term as a temporary form of paralysis, from the x-ray, she fractured her tibia on both legs, this might be as a result of the kind of force that was use to pull her out of the crash, when the fracture heals, she will be able to walk again"
"How long will it take?"
"A couple of months, she has to go through therapy to quicken the healing process, she has to be brave because the pain is quite excruciating"
"But she doesn't feel any pain on her legs, how will she be able to feel that in therapy?"
"The good thing about pain is when it comes it shows you are beginning to heal, she will when she tries to stand, that is all for now, I will keep you posted, you have absolutely nothing to worry about"
"Thank you doctor, I really appreciate it"
"It is my job and a pleasure"



Mandy walked into the firm, smiling and greeting everyone , she enters her office, sits down and places her leg on the desk, Mike comes in immediately.
"I know that look"
"What look" she said
"By the way, you are back in your office, and I got an email from the board saying we are no longer under investigation, what happened to Adaeze and her crew?"
"Out! Seems like they didn't find anything, why I'm I surprised, Lawson and Associates have always been spotless, God vindicated us" she said with a smirk
"Either that or you played the daddy card, what was in it that made her pack up and leave?"
"Bitch was screwing my Dad, what is that five lettered word again? Karma! A real bitch!"
"What! Wow! Cruel absolutely cruel, remind me not to ever get on the bad side of you ladies it is always drama, what will you do with the information about your dad? Are you interested in searching for him?"
"My dad is dead! Who ever that is, he can keep hiding, I don't care! My father will never sleep with my worst enemy"
"This is so you, anyway suit yourself, in case you need my skills, you know where to find me"

LAME RED: SEASON TWO: EPISODE SEVEN: GAME OF THRONES: CHAPTER FIVE: THE CROSS WE HAVE TO BEAR

Mandy slumps on the chair in the office, she
looks at Adaeze with complete rage in her eyes
"I used to think it was just hate, infact I convinced myself it is what it was, you've always wanted what I had, you spite me for it, but this sudden obsession, that I don't understand" Mandy said
"Don't flatter yourself hun, its been nothing but a game, to find what makes Mandy tick, when we all left law school, a lot of us were struggling with how to land a case, but you were already leading, so I decided to piss you off but that wasn't until it became the only real thing in my life, your father was or is a good man, he proposed then he decided it was time to tell Mandy the wicked witch was about to be her step mother, that was when I found out he was neck deep in something big enough to kill him, I became inquisitive starting investigating, I found out about the jet being sabotaged, after the crash I didn't hear from him, I still kept tabs, I knew he is in London, but where? So when I found out about your trip, I had to know why"
Mandy stands up immediately
"I am sick of listening to your lies, you need to get the hell out of my life, my firm before I take you apart"
"That's impossible, I am not done, till I know where he is"
"Oh yes! You are! If you don't want me mailing this files to the judge's office you will leave this instant and say I passed the investigation, Ms Lawson is still the clean and devoted lawyer she has always been, you will do this because you don't want me playing a game of how hell bent and dirty I can be"
She stomps out of the office


Yinka enters the ward, Amaka is sitting on the chair watching over Yedire
"Did she wake up?"  he said
"No, its been two days. I'm beginning to get scared"
She bends her face sobbing silently, he goes to where she is and holds her hand
"It will be fine, have a little faith, I brought some food"
"Thanks, I will be back let me make a call" she leaves the ward
Yinka sits and stares at Yedire for a while
"I might not really know a lot about you, but I believe you are stronger than this, please we want you to fight, I want you to fight, you are a good woman, good women don't give up easily"
He holds on to her hand and bends his face, suddenly he feels her fingers moving, he looks at her to see her eyes open
"That was quite a speech" she smiles at him
"Oh my God! You are awake"
"How long have I been out?"
"Doesn't matter, you are awake now"
He holds on to her leg as he adjusts himself on the bed
"I'm sorry, hope that wasn't painful" he said taking his hands off her leg
"Don't worry , I didnt feel it"
She pauses for while and looks at him in shock
"Do that again"
"What?"
"I mean you should hold my leg, this time make it painful"
"Are you sure? Or should I call the doctor?"
"Do it!"
"Okay! Okay!"
He holds her legs with his hand and squeezes it tightly
"Did that help?"
"Yinka, I can't feel my legs. I can't feel my legs!"

There is a thin line between hate and despise, tragedy and pain, mistakes and dissapointments. The world is not a cruel place, the people want to be good, but something changes them, it makes them snap, till they are left with no choice but to deal with the demons within. It takes only strength, courage, bravery to get through to the other side.

PHILANDRA AWAKENING: CHAPTER FIVE: EVOLUTION: PART II

"So I have gone through your assignments and I must say I was quite impressed with a few, for some not at all" the geography teacher Mr Parker is sharing the assignments, he gives Renee hers, she has a C.
"Why do you have a C in geography? You know more about maps than I do" Meredith whispered to her
"A lot has been going on, I just couldn't focus, well their is a first for everything"
"It had better be the last"
"That is all for now, any questions before I proceed?"
No one answers
"Okay, we will visit the Merry Water camp site this friday, it is part of your mid terms
any absence results in being flunked, so I hope you bring your camp spirit"
The bell rings, everyone stands and leaves the class room
"We can't go to Merry Water" Renee said to Meredith
"Hello didn't you hear him sat he will flunk anyone that doesn't I am not having a first for everything in this one"
"I am serious, its a full moon"
"When did we go from being a Putriach to werewolves"
"I had a dream, Ms Dawn explained it to me, friday is cycle day it is the 9 of 100th of my existence on earth, this is your first cycle, the moon is lethal to us, it makes us change to our dark side, we must avoid it" Renee said
"I am getting scared of all this. what will we tell Mr Parker"
"We have to come up with a great excuse, and tell Xavier as well"
"Something tells me that it is going to be a tough one"


Alexis and Liv are sitting at the lunch table
"We have to shop for the camping trup, we don't have to look like drag queens, someone might get inspired"
Liv is talking but Alexis is not listening, she is looking at Renee and Meredith
"Hey, did you her my last sentence?"
"Something feels odd with them, I don't know what it is but I am sure it is a secret" Alexis said
"Well I haven't noticed" Liv said
"Whatever it is, I am going to find out"

The girl's are at Mandy's house, they are sitting and looking sternly at her without saying a word.
"I appreciate you people for coming after everything I have done so I am going to apologise and promise not to keep things from any of you ever again"
"It is okay, I already feel sorry for being hard on you" Ego said
Tamuno and Simi look at her with a straight face
"I mean come on, not the two of you, she has been through a lot, rehab dead and alive father"
"Fine, but it takes you more than an apology to forgive someone else" Tamuno said
"Okay I forgive you, but I still don't understand the part you said your father is alive" Simi said
"I decided to look into Adaeze, so I hired a private detective, Ego gave me his contact"
Tamuno and Simi stare at Ego agai.n
"Uh! I hate that look, I have connections to dark places"
"Whatever, just go on" Simi said
"I started investigating Adaeze , then I found out she was looking into my father's death, turned out that the jet they went in was sabotaged, my father knew so he didn't board but his name was on the flight manifest so it was assumed he died with them. She found out that he has been in London that's why she got the liscense to
probe me, to see if I went to see my father" Mandy said
"Why would she be so interested in your father?" Tamuno said
"I don't know, I know she has hate issues, but this has gone way too far"
"Well ask her yourself its better you hear from the horses mouth than keeo assuming" Simi said


Adaeze is in her office when Mandy barges in without knocking
"I'm sorry but isn't the word courtesy in your dictionary?"
Mandy throws the files on her desk
"I don't care, I am here to talk and you
had better start talking before I Ioose my temper"
Hmm took you a while, but I am impressed" she said
"Now start talking, I get it you hate me so much, but I don't get why you turn all that to my father"
"I hate you, but I don't hate your father because we were involved"
Involved in what? Work? A case? What you bitch!"
"Your father and I were dating, in more logical sense he was my boyfriend and I was his girlfriend"

LAME RED: SEASON TWO: EPISODE SEVEN: GAME OF THRONES: CHAPTER THREE: COMING CLEAN

 

The girls are at their favorite restaurant
"It just feels like my appetite grew larger, I
can literally eat everyone's food and still want some more" Simi said
"At least you are not bloated yet" Tamuno
said
"Yea very soon you will become so round that we won't even recognise you anymore" Ego said
Simi throws her food at her
"Aww! Is being with a child making you childish?"
"I need to tell you all something" Mandy said
"Whats with you? You sound tensed up?" Simi said
"I know you all have been asking about what happened two months ago, well I wasn't on a beach in miami, I was in a rehab in London"
"Rehab!" they all chorus
"Why will you be in rehab?"
"After the whole incident with Dave, I had a relapse, I couldn't sleep because anytime I do I saw myself drowning,  so I started using drugs that help me sleep, I thought it was temporary, that I could handle it, but it aggravated, till I overdosed, Mike found me passed out, I begged him not to take me to the hospital,  so he called a nurse who treated me at home, they decided I needed rehabilitation, I didn't want to bother anyone so I travelled to London, got registered, started the program completed it and came back, that is all that happened"
They all continue to stare at her with their mouths wide open
"I need a drink" Ego takes her glass of wine and gulps down the contents at once
"You are such a phenomenal woman for sharing this right now, infact you deserve an applause, how dare you say you didn't want to bother anyone, Mandy we stuck out for you! you could have died!"  Tamuno said
"Let's try and calm down, how about we do it this way, you are a very silly girl Mandy, I can't even qualify your stupidity, I even defended you when you came back but then I forgot you are used to doing things your own way, pushing people that care about you away" Sini said
"Look I am very sorry, I was so ashamed, I just couldn't"
"There must be a reason why you are talking now, so what is it?" Ego said
"I just found out my father is still alive, I just want to come clean, clear the air before I go after Adaeze"
"You just found out, or you knew? I guess you are getting trapped in your complications, now you need our help, well now is not convinient" Tamuno said
"Exactly because right now, I have 99 problems, you are not even up to half of it, so solve it yourself like you always do, I don't need stress"
Simi stands and leaves with Tamuno
"I am sorry Mandy, for once try not to be selfish"
Ego leaves, Mandy is left alone in the restaurant, wondering what to do.
