SUNDAY SERMONS: THE WORD CALLED GREATNESS

Now how do we define greatness?

Because Obama was the first U.S Black President, the world called him great...
And Osama was a renowned terrorist and his followers called him great...

How do we measure greatness?
Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Tom Ford, Richard Branson... Creative, innovative, ground breaking software, they are great...
ISIS, Al Queeda, Boko Haram, creative, innovative terror group, feared and of course... Great.

How do we determine greatness?
The world has different notions, perceptions, deceptions, suspections, definitions, dimensions, mis-conceptions about greatness...
Hold up let me rephrase this... The world knows nothing about greatness
What do I really mean? Greatness is two-dimensional, you could be positively great or negatively great.
I still remember Adolph Hitler like it was yesterday...
I still remember Mandela like it happened today...

Where does true greatness come from?
Never from hate, anger, envy, disrespect, selishness, treachery, jealousy, pride...
But from love, meekness, kindness, humility, selflessness, decency, lowliness...

We are always about how we want to be remembered but our remembrance could either be one of great sustaination or one of great damnation. Will your remembrance add value or will it destroy the world?
Lets think on these things because anywhere we search for it, by hook or crook, hanky or panky, nook or cranny... The only place it comes from is within.
