PHILANDRA: AWAKENING: CHAPTER THREE: REVEAL: PART IV

Gastuix and Azura are walking in a lonely desert far from the kingdom "where are we, what is this place?" "Its called the path of death, careful what you step on, just follow my footsteps" Azura said, Gasturix trails her behind "What exactly are we looking for?" "A grimore, it has spells on how to defeat Martus, the spell he casted is ancient and deadly, he learnt black magic, if we don't stop him, the glory of the Imperial will diminish and after the cycle day what will be left is chars of evil" Azura said "how do you know all this, you seem to be more knowledgeable of the kingdom than we do" "I'm a messenger, its my destiny and will power, to help the Imperial bring good tiding, stop evil, the Imperial is for white magic, that's why all the embed are white, if Martus proceeds we will be the opposite, all embed will be black and darkness will prevail" she arrives a spot, whispers something and a book appears from underneath, suddenly the whole place turns into a beautiful garden "don't be deceived by that, we must focus on what's important, or we will be buried deep into the sand, stay focused we are still in the path of darkness do not touch anything!" Azura ordered, Gasturix stares at the beautiful sight, he feels hungry looking at the juicy fruits on the tree, he tries to reach out for it but holds himself back "I can't find any spell to break Martus magic, except this one" Azura said "Good then there is a spell" Gasturix said "the spell says, in other to prevent doom, light must be crushed so it won't prevail, this spell will make the city disappear, Imperial will never exist but will be remembered like a fairy tale" "so you mean its either you cast the spell and make the entire city disappear, or we leave Martus to bring doom?" "Exactly" "what ever it takes, we will never let darkness take over and engulf our soul, we must save the world to come" he said "Wait! The queen is with child! If the city vanishes, the remains of the queen and the closest to her heart should be bound to a life vessel and casted into the sands of time, it means you and the queen will keep evolving forever in another life, but the more you keep evolving, the more you loose pieces of yourself" Azura said "what about you?" "I will fly high above the orbit of the Imperial before it vanishes, and like a compass I will find you both in the other life" "that will be brave, thank you, we have to leave we don't have much time" he said "magnimo!" Azura spells him "this will help against Martus magic, remember Philandra must say this herself, give her the book and use your power to shield her till she is done". She transforms into an owl, Martus hops on her back holding the book tightly, immediately the try to fly away the place goes back to normal opens up and tries to swallow them, Azura flaps with her last strength soars higher and flies towards the Imperial. .................................................................... Philandra is tied up at the center of the chamber, the place is wild with drinks and celebration, the people who are under his spell her laughing and jeering at her "Long live the royal Valiant queen" Martus said the whole place erupts with laughter, the roof breaks open immediately, Gasturix comes down from Azura's back, as she flies higher away from the kingdom "wow, the king makes a grand entry, I've been waiting for you" Martus said "what I you doing, I told you to run" Philandra said breathless "I'm here, ubindo!" The straps on her hands cut loose "how did you? Get him now!" Martus said furious "furnancio!" A ball of fire covers him and Philandra "We don't have much time, read the spell" he gives her the book "but this will wipe out the city? Isn't there any other way?" "I'm sorry, it is either this or darkness, I promise never to forget you in the other life and lives to come" he kisses her on the lip "Now!" He tries fighting off Martus men as Philandra begins the spell "Evori evolvi, dispersi incanti deni zeti para ecanti usha imperi" suddenly her body turns into a goblet of fire and engulfs her and Gasturix as she keeps chanting, Martus runs towards her trying to stop the spell before the whole city vanishes, leaving dust behind, Azura watches from the sky with tears in her eyes, then she flies away into the horizon, searching for the missing pieces.
